Indian Head-Scalp Massage: (Full massage or 15 min add-on to your regular massage)
Indian head massage is a relaxing holistic treatment that has been practiced in India as part of the Hindu health care practice of Ayurveda. Indian head massage focuses on your head, neck and shoulders. It uses a variety of techniques, including circular massage strokes called “champi” on your scalp, deep tissue work on your shoulders, and stretching techniques on the neck to release stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, neck, shoulders.
This form of massage focuses on the three higher “chakras” – mind, body and spirit and as such hits your energy epicenter, therefore it aims to rebalance your body’s energies through the Chakra balancing that is done at the end of the session.
Indian Head Massage can be done as a separate chair massage session or an add-on to a table massage, is suitable for both adults or accompanied children and can be tailored to suit special needs or preferences.
The client undresses the upper half of the body and cover with a special towel while remains sited in a chair for the treatment. At the beginning of the treatment slow breathing quietens the mind and, followed by upper back, neck and scalp massage techniques toward the end of the session.
Clients report that the experience is deeply calming and relaxing, leaving them feeling energized and revitalized and better able to concentrate.
